A hair salon design project undertaken in collaboration with “HOMEWORD”, a leading antique store in Kobe. The theme of the project is the coexistence of nostalgia and newness of mid-century, creating a world view that follows the history of the city of Kobe.

The space is composed of five color schemes: blue, green, black, brown, and white. The ceiling was dismantled to expose the frame of the building to expand the space, and a bold blue paint was applied to create a relaxing atmosphere. Stone tiles, which go well with mid-century furniture, were used to express the mid-century worldview to the fullest while avoiding excessive harshness in the space.

The mirror stands are all made of solid wood and custom-made, and the FRP orange pendant lights accentuate the space and harmonize with the vintage furniture with attention to detail, creating an experience of both comfort and stimulation in the space.
